We found ourselves in the middle of the Zagora desert, surrounded by palm trees, gardens, and sleepy kitties.
We encountered our biggest culture shock and rude awakening at the noisy city of Casablanca, a city that does not quite live up to its romantic name...
Our first step on the African continent - the stylish, bustling red city of Marrakesh. With hagglers always ready to pounce, make sure you never look lost!
Our coach picked us up at eight o’clock and we started the day that I felt was the true purpose of this trip. At the Pointe du Hoc, the ground was completely covered in bomb craters preserved from WWII, now covered in a thick sheet of grass from the decades that have passed. Several fortifications the Nazis used to defend themselves were still preserved.
